About

Dominique Weldon is a Black biracial writer from Burlington, Iowa. She is a first-generation college graduate and received a BA in English from the University of Iowa. She also earned an MFA in Fiction from Butler University, where she served as the nonfiction editor of Booth and taught literature, creative writing, and writing for wellness courses as a Graduate Teaching Fellow.

Her work appears or is forthcoming in Lover’s Eye Press, DarkWinter Literary Magazine, and Erato Magazine. Her work has received support from the Indiana Writers Center, the Midwest Writers Workshop, and GrubStreet.

She lives in Indiana, where she teaches at the Indiana Writers Center. She also reads fiction for Split Lip Magazine and writes for Erato Magazine. She is currently working on her first novel as well as a graphic novel.
